How To Make A Great First Impression With Your Facebook Page

April 6, 2019 Laura

Whenever someone wants to learn more about a service, brand or wants to buy something, internet research is common. It is so easy to use Google to find information about practically anything these days. At the same time, social networks are used to get that little bit of extra information that helps make the final decision. Every single company needs a Facebook page and it is really important to make a very good first impression. Unfortunately, this is much easier said than done.

In most cases, Facebook pages, especially when built for business purposes, are completely impersonal. Louis Hernandez Jr says that it is impossible to make a lasting impression if you do not instantly stand out. With this in mind, here are some ways to instantly stand out of the crowd when you build a company business page.

Verify The Page

Some time ago just the major brands and celebrities were allowed to verify their Facebook pages. Nowadays, anyone can do so in order to prove the profile is legit. All you need to do is to prove you are a business by submitting a recent utility bill and an official phone number.

Carefully Choose Personal Branding Elements

It is really important that your page stands out. A great way to do this is to work with a web designer that is capable of bringing your vision to life. At the very least, be sure that you are consistent with the chosen color scheme, style and logo.

Fill Out The About Page

The About page is so much more important than what many believe. This is where you can easily say some things about core business values. Your customers can know about very important company details you want them to know. At the same time, you can add links to all the other social media profile accounts you have, together with a specific product and a website. You should also be sure that you include contact information since you need to allow people to easily get in touch with you.

Always Show Personality

One of the biggest problems with businesses running Facebook pages is that they act too corporate. Social media is not actually about selling services or products. You need to be sure that you create engagement for both potential clients and current customers. In most cases, people want to see product demonstrations, images, videos and basically real people instead of corporate messages.

Use Brand Influencers

Brand influencers are highly effective on social media. Try to get into partnerships with them so that you can have them increase brand relevance. You always want to work with the influencers because of the fact that they already have a loyal following. Just make sure that you do not tag influencers randomly. You need to have a working relationship with them for this to be very effective.

Use Facebook Live

Last but not least, we live in the age of video content. One of the easiest ways to showcase personality is to organize Facebook Live events. This shows there are people behind the brand and followers can interact in a live setting.
