5 Yoga Poses That Will Help You Lose Weight

January 29, 2018 Laura

It is common knowledge that yoga is one of the best ways of dealing with stress. However, few know that it is also one of the most effective workouts that can help with dealing with excess fat in the body. Yoga can therefore be practiced for weight loss purposes. Research has indicated that yoga reduces stress hormones and also increases insulin sensitivity. This means your body will burn food as a fuel but will not store it as fat. Your health can be consistently maintained by doing yoga. You may be experiencing weight fluctuations as you grow older. This can be attributed to lack of exercise. Doing yoga can help reconstruct your fitness and thus losing weight.

Your power output and strength levels can also be improved by using cure winstrol, an anabolic steroid. This steroid will boost your muscle mass.

The following yoga poses can help reduce your body weight.

Willow

This exercise is done by standing with your feet together and arms placed on your sides. Place your right foot on the inside of your left thigh, with the knee pointing the other side. Touch the palms in front of your chest, doing this for approximately two breathes. On the third, breathe in, raising your arms up with the fingertips pointed towards the roof. Breathe out while bending your thighs towards the right side. Breathe in again and straighten up, then switch sides.

Moving plank

This workout is done by rolling your weight forward and straightening your body to form a high plank pose. Ensure your hands are firmly placed on your thighs, squeezing them together. Your ankles should also be pressing towards the back of the room. Keeping your hips in line with the ground, suck your belly into your spine. The aim is to pull everything to the center line of your body. Breathe deeper, ensuring that your elbows are maintained under your shoulders. Hold on for a few breathes and then switch to a low plank pose.

Locust pose

Lie down on your stomach, keeping your arms to your sides, but leaving your legs apart at hip’s width. Place your forehead on the mat. Breathe in raising your head, gazing forward. Put the arms back towards your feet as you raise your chest from the ground. Using the thigh muscles, lift your legs up while keeping the chest up as you breathe out. Release and then repeat the procedure a couple of times. Try to do this exercise daily.

Downward dog

Begin the exercise in a downward-facing dog. Hands should be off and your feet firmly placed on a mat. Now imagine that a string is tied to your back, raising it into the air. Keep your hips up and back. It is also crucial to keep your core tight for the workout to be more effective. Your heels should be maintained close to the floor as possible. Look in the direction of your feet, taking deep breathes in and out. Try to engage every muscle in your body.

Crescent

Stand with your feet together and your arms to your sides. Breathe in and raise your arms over your head. Breathe out while bending your hips forward and bringing your hands down to the ground. Take a few breaths in and out, and stretch your right leg, bending your left leg for about 90 degrees. Breathe in, raising your arms over your head again. Hold on and now repeat the procedure with your left leg back.

So, there are a few yoga poses to help you lose weight! Remember to be aware of your form to avoid injury.
